Grooming isn't just about improving the appearance of a dog, it is also has a variety of other benefits. Regular grooming helps to eliminate smell and thus improve hygiene by cleaning and brushing away dead skin and dirt/oil buildup which can lead to skin issues and much more. Often times it is the groomer that helps detect health and skin issues in the early as they would notice abnormalities in the skin, coat and teeth. Ear cleaning during grooming reduces the chances of ear infections and nail trimming reduces the risk of developing bad posture and bone deformations. It reduces the chances of matts pulling the skin and promotes health and shiny coats which shed less. Besides all of these good things, your dog will return to you looking even more beautiful/handsome than when they left!

Therapy dogs are dogs that are trained to provide affection, comfort and support to people, often in settings such as hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes, schools, libraries, hospices, prisons or disaster areas.

Professsions that can utilise therapy dogs: psychiatrists, psychologists, doctors, physiotherapists, occuptional therapists etc.

Organisations & people that can benefit from therapy dogs: the elderley, children's hospitals, orphanages, cancer patients, hospice centres, those with PTSD, special needs, stroke victims or those in rehab programs, those with mental health disorders etc.

Goin away? Taking a staycation? Maybe you are overwhelmed with your daily tasks and just need a break. Whatever it is, why not give your furbaby his/her own pawcation! Board your baby in a family oriented environment where he/she can be integrated into a loving home with human and dog socialisation if requested. Dogs are boarded inside the house and have the opportunity to play with other dogs once they are not aggressive towards others.

We also offer playdates where your dog can take the day off and integrate with our pack, having fun while mixing and mingling with their own kind.

 Training is an essential part of owning a dog and can be started at any age. A happy home is one with a happy well behaved dog. This process creates a deeper bond between you and your pet and allows for a better understanding between each other. Commands such as sit, down, stay, come (recall), heel (leash walking) when mastered will create a happier mental and physical environment for both of you!

Behaviour problems can present themselves in various forms such as resource guarding, reactiveness, aggression at undesired times, housebreaking issues, anxiety, excessive jumping, destructiveness, escaping, excessive barking and so much more. Just like we do with humans, we  change the dog's behaviour by altering the environment and implementing various techniques to gain and maintain control of the situation. Each case is different and will need a consultation to determine what treatment plan will be used to alleviate the issues.

Do you need your dog to be trained but you don't have the time or the patience to conduct our CRC (Corrections, Repititons, Consistency) homework that come with private sessions. This might be the solution for you! Drop your dog off by us and have us do all the training necessary. Your dog will stay with us for a minimum of 3 weeks and will learn all of the basic obedience commands such as sit, down, stay, heel, come (dog can be trained in language of your choice). At the end of this period, we hand over a trained dog to your household and offer a few support sessions so that you can learn how to instill these new skills in your own home environment!

Dog will need to be assessed by trainer and depending on breed and personality, as well as commands requested, time frame of training may vary.

This service is very similar to that of the Board and Train program, however, instead of dropping your dog off by us, your dog stays in your own home environment and we come to you. Normally, this training occurs 3 times a week for 6 weeks. Once again, we train the dog for you and at the end of this period we then get to train you for a brief period so that you can maintain and solidify the new skillset that your dog/s have learnt.

Timeframe of training may vary based upon dog's  breed, personality and your requested commands. 

Do you suffer from anxiety, depression or PTSD? Maybe you are special needs or have a mental health disorder. Whatever your reason for needing or wanting an ESA trained dog is, we can help. We breed litters and help you choose the best pup for you and your lifestyle. We can keep the puppy for you after collection date and board and train it to be your personal ESA. We know our waiting lists are long, so we can also help you choose pups from other available litters and train them, or train a pup that you have chosen prior.

Please note that not every dog is suitable for being an ESA, so if you have chosen your dog prior, then it will be up to the trainer to determine if the dog can be trained by us to fulfil this position in your life. 

In real life we have distractions! When we go out in public, there are noises around us, things and people constantly moving, strange activities, objects, animals and so much more. So why not train your dog for obedience in an outdoor, public setting? Not only do you get to train your dog with distractions around (the ultimate test), but they get a sense of not only working in a group, but also  being in a social setting with other dogs and people around.

We have various 6 week workshops where we meet once a week for the duration of the course to learn:

• basic obedience
• advanced obedience
• trick training
• and who knows what else I'll add to this workshop list! 

These workshops can be done as stand alone training or alongside or following your private training sessions.

Please note that basic obedience (whether it be done via private sessions or group training) is a prerequisite for the advanced obedience and trick training courses.

If your dog is obedience trained by someone other than us or Pawsability, then an assessment by our trainer will be required to sign up for these courses.
